ABOUT OUR SPACE
We built this space as a sanctuary.
A sanctuary to experience the peace that comes with the beauty and wonder of nature. The Greenhouse is situated in Somerset, Nova Scotia, on the back acre of our private residence.
Placed amongst our flower gardens, with a lovely forest behind, and overlooking grazing horses in their pastures... you’ll only hear the sounds of birds singing and bees buzzing. It is our most favourite and peaceful place to be. We’re so excited to share it with you!

What to expect at The Greenhouse:
WHAT IS INCLUDED: The private use of the greenhouse and the surrounding forest, meadow and garden. The greenhouse is fully decorated and ready to enjoy, complete with lush greenery and string lights.
The 16x20 foot structure can seat 18-24 individuals within the greenhouse. We have an antique table that can be adjusted to either 4, 5, 6, or 7 feet, with an eclectic mix of 24 antique chairs to match, should you desire to use them for a small gathering. If you need more than 24 chairs, you're welcome to bring your own to add to our mix! There is ample room for parking by the greenhouse.
PLEASE NOTE: We are currently OFF GRID. This means we are without power on the property. However, we will have one portable washroom on site that includes a toilet, washing station and mirror. It is discreetly tucked into the trees and soft beige in color. You are welcome to rent a portable power source to bring if you'd like to!

PRICING
Bookings, details, and rates, oh my!
We can't wait to have you enjoy our beautiful space. Here are all the pricing details you'll need to know.
✿ SMALL PRIVATE PHOTOGRAPHY (25 people or under here at once):
$85+HST per hour or $395+HST for 6 hrs
Additional hours past the 6 hr rate may be purchased at the rate of $85+hst per hour. Any time between 8AM-9PM. (Oct - Dec hours are until 7PM) *Excludes wedding ceremonies
✿ LARGER PRIVATE PHOTOGRAPHY (25-50 people here at once):
$150+HST per hour. *Excludes wedding ceremonies
✿ SMALL EVENTS (Under 15 people. Baby showers, bridal showers, workshops etc): $85+HST per hour. *Excludes wedding ceremonies
✿ LARGER EVENTS (15 - 25 guests):
$150+HST per hour *Excludes wedding ceremonies
✿ WEDDINGS:

WHAT TO EXPECT SEASONALLY
Showcasing the beauty of every season.
MAY
Decorated with vases of dried flowers, ferns, and other natural elements. Our tulip meadow beyond the greenhouse will be in full bloom from approximately May 5 - May 20, with over 700 tulips putting on a striking show, at their peak in mid May.
JUNE-SEPTEMBER
The greenhouse will be filled with a selection of lively plants and flowers, and the rows of flowers outside will hit their stride come mid August. We have rows of zinnias, cosmos, dahlias etc that are wonderful for photography! We will have sunflowers for part of September as well.
OCTOBER-NOVEMBER 11
As the frost comes, the tender plants in the greenhouse will be transferred out, and during the fall months we will decorate with dried flowers, vases of fall foliage, pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, etc.
NOVEMBER 11-DECEMBER
During this time, the greenhouse is filled with natural forms of Christmas decor such as trees, evergreen garlands and wreaths, with lots of holiday magic!

Hey there! We are a mother & daughter trio who own and operate The Greenhouse venue.
Cynthia is our ultra-organized head of communications + coordination. She will ensure a seamless booking experience; from start to finish + be there along the way to assist with any questions or concerns!
Wanda is our groundskeeper extraordinaire, loves a good cup of tea and touring folks around The Greenhouse.
Kate is our flower obsessed, creative visionary who adores capturing and sharing our fairytale venue on Instagram.
We share a common passion of connecting with nature and loved ones, and our goal is to provide a place for others to do the same. We hope the greenhouse will enrich the lives of those in the Annapolis Valley and beyond by offering a beautiful space for meaningful and inspiring experiences.
Together we’ll help you create unforgettable memories with your loved ones. We can’t wait to meet you and help make your dreams become reality!
